Our History
Ege Technopark Technology Development Zone was established with the decision of the Council of Ministers numbered 2014/6500 published in the Official Gazette dated 10 August 2014 and numbered 29084. Ege Technopark Technology Development Zone Management Joint Stock Company, which is responsible for the management and operation of the Ege Technopark Technology Development Zone, in which the Ege University Rectorate has 100% shares, was registered on 13 November 2014. As a result of the search meetings held with local, national and international stakeholders during the establishment process, Ege Technopark, which was planned to continue its activities with the theme of “Life Sciences and Health”, started to allocate space to entrepreneurial companies as of January 1, 2015.
The partnership structure of Ege Technopark Technology Development Zone A.Ş. is single-partnered and it belongs entirely to the Rectorate of Ege University.
Established as the fourth Technology Development Region of Izmir, Ege Technopark aims to develop high value-added products and increase qualified employment by increasing the R&D and innovation potential of the Region by working in cooperation and synergy with other stakeholders in Izmir and the Region, especially in the fields of life sciences and health.

Our Vision
In the “Ege University Innovation Ecosystem”, which is formed by the academic and technical infrastructure and richness of Ege University,
“Each other by completing a pre-competitive firms to carry out cooperation, including the University’s research of industry experience combined with sustainable R&D and innovation within the ecosystem of the life sciences with emphasis on academic and industrial entrepreneurship by supporting the creation of high value added at the regional and national level”
it has been established in a structure that will work with its vision and operate in synergy with all similar formations, especially universities in the Aegean Region.
It is foreseen to create an environment for R&D studies for the production of high value-added products in different sectors, especially in the fields of Life Sciences and Health. It is expected that companies with innovative R&D quality, high added value, business plans, and high commercialization potential projects will participate in Ege Technopark.
